RCA Complaint

Rip Off

We bought a RCA 50 inch HDTV. It broke. It is under warranty. We called RCA and they give you the repair service to use. The repair service came out and said they needed to order parts. That was over a month ago. Every time we call RCA they say they ordered the parts and will take seven to ten business days. Each time we call we get a different person and they say they will order the parts. Guess what the repair service still doesn't have them. When we ask to speak to a supervisor the RCA people will not connect you to one. They are doing this to a lot of consumers.

Can you please help us. I do not know what else to do.

We have had 2 of the same TV with the 1st one sitting in a service center for 6 months until RCA finally exchanged for another one. Well that one lasted for 52 days and is back in the shop starting of with the same problem. On the 1st one they said it was the lamp, not, then the light engine, not, and then the power board which is a $1,000 part, it never came in after another 2 months so they exhanged it.

Bought a RCA L32HD35D Last November (2009) IT worked for about 5 months then the picture would not come on but the sound worked. After about 2 months of chasing phone numbers and leaving messages I was told to ship it to Ohio for repairs costing $129. Shipped it Aug 2, 2010 and never heard any thing. Tracked it down with Fed Ex # and found it went to Ohio, then to California. After a couple weeks of research and calling around, got a phone number for where it was supose to be in Ontario, Cal. Finally talked to a guy and had to fax him all kinds of proof that I purchesed it and shipped it. The $129 for repairs was put on my credit card on Aug 9, 2010. After calling them many times they finally said they received the TV on Dec 23, 2010, which I Know is bull as the tracking slip shows clearly it got there on 8/09/10. From what I have read there must be 100's of RCA TVS of this type that have had this same module go out in less that a year. My question is "WILL THE NEW MODULE INTALLED LAST LONGER AND HAS RCA TAKEN CARE OF THIS PROBLEM? What happened to the Quality of RCA products as we knew it?
