My wife and I purchased a brand new Whirlpool washer and dryer from HH Gregg this past March 2011. Recently in the beginning of September 2011 (6 months after the purchase) we began to have problem with both appliances. The washer run cycle was very loud and the dryer was burning our clothes. I contacted HH Gregg and they informed me this is a manufactures issue and they would send a repairman out to inspect. The repairman arrived on 9/23 and determined that the bearings were bad and needed to be replaced on the washer and the heating element and blower need to be replaced on the dryer. Since that time they have repaired the dryer however the problem has not been resolved. Our clothes are still being burned. The washer in the other hand has not been repaired because the parts are in back order and will not arrive until mid-November. We have gotten nothing but a runaround from the company and ask that the replace the appliances since well feel as though the sold us a lemon. We have not been able to use the products in more than a month and are spending hundreds of dollars a month in Laundromat fees and replacement of the clothes that were ruined. HH Gregg representatives keep referring us back to Whirlpool as they feel it is there problem not HH Greggs. Obviously they do not stand behind the products they sell and once they are out the door it the customers problem. We simply asked that they replace the products and we would even pay more for more reliable appliances and they have refused us in all possible requests. We have taken every possible route to work this issue out including returning to the store that we purchased from. We are constantly being told that we need to work with the corporate office and that there is nothing they can do any further. Corporate has refused my requests to speak with a manager so I have turned to you for help.
