Hello, I'm using this as a last resort. I live in New Jersey but the incident took place in Brooklyn. Our family purchased a Yorkshire terrier Puppy on November 21st 2010. They first sent us a picture of a dog "for sale." We drove from South Jersey all the way to Brooklyn for it to be a stock photo from their website. As soon as we got there it was a little dingy looking shop with big cages filled with puppies. They were so focused on selling for a profit that they lowered the price from $900 to $750 plus tax. When we got home we noticed she was moving her head back and forth like a little bobble head And making right circles. We called the place and they told us she was hypoglycemic and to give her the Karo syrup they provided. As months went by we were noticing she was just getting worse. Bobbling worse, Circling worse and getting sick when consuming food. We took out pet insurance to help with the cost of bills that we pay every month But an incident happened on September 10th 2011 where Our dog lost consciousness. Banfield, the provider of the pet insurance couldn't keep her because they closed at a certain time. We had to pay out of pocket for another Emergency vet hospital. She was diagnosed with a liver shunt that she was born with. She was released on September 12th 2011, With medication she'll be on the rest of her life, Special food and very detailed instructions. We called The Puppy Boutique and they told us that We can put the dog to sleep and they would refund the price of our dog. In her contract it says they cover liver problem from birth. We sent all paperwork to the owner and they told us that the warranty is from the date of birth which is August 15th 2010. Now we are out almost $3000 plus. I am a single mother raising two children and can't pay without help from The Puppy Boutique. If you can please help us rectify the situation that would be much appreciated. We love our little Pebbles and We want the proper care for her.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this.
Sincerly, The Schembri Family.
