I moved into my home in December 2009. There was a Ferrell Gas tank here so I called them and had it put into my name and I paid $400.00 for 250 gallons of propane upfront by credit card over the phone. Well after two weeks of freezing with my handicapped son and newborn daughter they delivered my propane. As the deliverer left he handed me an "invoice" for $189.00. When we were running low the next time they quoted me $580.00 for 250 gallons. So this winter I finally found out a little trick... I was quoted 489.00 for 250 gallons. I said I can't afford that, the lady heard the kids crying in the background and all of a sudden she could drop it down to $189.00. Now that is ridiculous! The problem I'm having now and since I have started using Ferrell gas is that I'm having to fill up once a month when 250 gallons should last at least two months with my heat on 68, a electric heater in my living room, and a good insulated home.
