Was at DUI school and saw an advertisement saying (NEED A LAWYER) So I call the law office and asked to speak to a l awyer, was transfer to who I thought was an attorney, This individual was a private detective pretending to be a paralegal. I gave him all the details about my situation.
After the consultation, he told me the charges would be 21,000.00 dollars, he had me sign an agreememt without ever consulting the Attorney who was not in the office at that time. A couple days later I met the Attorney, and told him how I had been scamed by an ex-boyfriend from the West Indes. he asked me what did I want to happened to the x, I told him that he should be behind bars for scaming me out of my lifes savings and recking my credit. I am a senior citizen, The lawyer told me the he could make his life miserable, but doubted if he could get any money from him.
The ex-boyfried filed for bankruptsy as he admitted that he owed me money. The Attorney never gave me any money back and said that I signed a paper for some asset search on the ex-boyfriend for 7,500.00. I never signed any such paper. so over 7,500.00 plus was taken from me, I need help in finding out what happpend to all of the money.
