Last May I received a letter from my bank that informed me that a levy was placed againist my bank account, a copy of a judgment was attached. It was sent from a different County then where I live. There was a different address on the judgment with my name . Now, this firm had never written me a letter concerning the matter stated on the judgment, ever. So, I called the court officer in this other County and he suggested that I file a motion with the court which I did. I had stated that this firm had filed this complaint without my knowledge and had obtained my bank information without my knowlege. It was at this time that they began stating that I lived in this county and I never had, ever. They found an address of someone with a similar last name and attached my name to the address, filed the complaint in this county with the name of the bank similar to me on the judgment. I have requested that they reveal how they obtained my bank information without my knowledge, they stated it was confidential. Never told me how they obtained it. They continued to state that I couldn't prove where I lived. and they didn't have to show proof to the debt they claim I owed. They told me validation of the debt has run out. They stated everything by we say so thats it with no proof of anything.
And, today this is so going on. They also had filed another complaint in my county against me so I am fighting The complaint in the Other county as well as this, and I had never applied for either accounts .
This firm has placed dupicate accounts to my credit record from the originals with different account numbers. And, when I requested a validation of the debt. they sent a sheet of paper with information that was stated on my credit record with a differient account number then what was requested .
This firm had sent me letter up to janusry 2006 then nothing which tells that they had no doubts about my address. Then in December 2006 they filed that complaint in this other county claiming that they didn't know where I lived, which tells me that they didn't want me to know about them filing this complaint in this other county. I believe they wanted to get into my bank account and this was a way of doing it, then claim I live there so it was okay to do what they did. I did sent my proof of address to show I didn't live in this other county.
Am I wrong, But, does this all sound illegal?
