Nissan Complaint

Popular Car with a popular problem! - Altima 2004 3.5L Cranshaft/Cam Position Sensor

- Provo
There is a known issue with the Nissan Altima of years 2002-2005 or so where there is a problem with the Crankshaft/Cam Position sensors causing the car to stall while driving or create a no start situation.

Replacing the sensors is not always effective. I have replaced the sensors and problem still persists.

Nissan says it's outside of warranty, even though this presents a safety issue.

The Nissan mechanic in Orem said he wouln't even replace one sensor without replacing both, and was very common.

If car stalls in traffic it does present a safety issue. How am I supposed to repair a problem they Nissan has said is either a manufacturing/design defect in a solder or the ECM(Electronic Control Unit/Computer).
