Traffic and Moving violation stories with my family members are ready for writing a book. This is recently became a common, abnormal treating American people by parking or traffic authority. We have impression that is economical situation with federal agencies funds and will be bringing to public more and more unfair tickets as a budget feeding from our pockets. We must take an action against of most difficult to prove, but daily occurring violations of human rights and almost completely illuminated police officer’s human relationship with democratic understanding and personal involvement in each individual case.
The first case occurred in area of my residence. I was driving home below speed limit on major street. Some intersections in this area have limited visual control from stop line, because of large plants and bushes and specifically if some vehicles parked close to intersections and requires to drive a couple of feet over that to be safe. Police car was parked exactly is limiting traffic vision control. Police officer was holding in his hands strange object and directed to my car. From a distance more then 100 ft it was scared me and I passed a couple of feet over the stop line to look for any coming vehicles are very often speeding form cross streets and non stopping on sign. There were not any pedestrians at this time. Police office issued a ticket for not stopping on stop sing neglected to my arguments and explanations are mentioned above.
Another situation occurred in parking lot when I read wrongly place number. Instead to pay for space #37 where my car was parked I paid for space #31. I send protest to SFMTA with photo, credit card payment print out and witness name and address. Nevertheless, my petition has not been honored. I am confident there nobody even put attention to contents in my letter of protest. And there is another financial concern. With so strong proves of my evidences not guilty I had to go to the court, to pay $15.00 fee and $15.00 parking. Why? Is that is look almost the same or larger as penalty amount? Plus I am loosing at list half of my working day salary. Isn’t ridiculer?
And last story happened today. My wife and I were being going home after the shopping through low traffic street. Police car was following us bumper to bumper. We start to discuss with my wife if anything may be wrong. Actually, in everybody experience, police is never driving behind your back with no reason. My wife became very nervous and frustrated. It is understandable, because unfortunately in our country police associates’ with fear no matter you did or you did not anything wrong. In mentioned stressful situation my wife assumed that is necessary to stop and incidentally pass intersection on red light and stopped. To our explanation that we were confused and scared we get ticket. Isn’t looks weird to make a violation with police car behind. May be Police officer trained to create this kind of situation to deliver to normal people stress and confusion.
All these story tails came to our life as addition to frustration to our economical situation, international terrorism, chicken and swine flu and many other things are keeping American under stress and fear.
