After working overtime at the post office I encountered a police gauntlet where a ticket blitz was awaiting me. For the past 29 years I've gone through this same route going home and at no other time was it more evident than last night, A cash strapped city was on a trumped up ticketing binge. My driving record will speak for me in itself. Not that it'll matter When I go to the DMV. I'm pretty sure that I'm not alone when I say that the law calls it extortion when a person of a criminal mind does something and when you go to the DMV Its perfectly legal.
I was issued 2 moving violation summonses in 2 separate locations. One in manhattan, the other in the bronx just as I was parking near my home. At no other time during any beginning of the month can this gauntlet be more evident.
Id like to shed a great mag light on this issue which the police department is sure to deny and scoff at.
