PMI Movers estimated my move to be $210. I was moving 2 bedrooms which I lived in at my parent’s house to my first home. I asked two representatives from the company several times if this quote would "magically" increase on the day of the move and was told no each time I asked.
On the moving day a truck came with no ramp and 3 kids to move my stuff. It was a mess from the start. When they reached my new home I was told that it was now going to $586 due to the pads they used to move my stuff. This is after I was told it would be $175 extra to move my TV and another $175 to move my mirror both which I declined. Imagine if I accepted!!
My father called Sam at PMI Movers and argued this price for 30 minutes. I finally ended up paying $450 and all awhile the movers stood in my driveway smoking and holding my stuff in the their van!
Someone needs to go after these people. As a young working professional who was buying their first home I was completely jaded!
