On September 12th, we were so excited to move to our beautiful new home but it turned out to be one of the worst days imaginable.
We found PM Inc online, we had been researching movers by price as we were leaving a 2 bedroom apartment, we didn't have anything of great value to move and we were moving to a neighborhood just a 10 minute drive away. The gave us a great quote - 3 men for 5 hours for $350 and if we went over 5 hours (which we were assured was very unlikely) it would be $70 per hour after that. I asked the representative, Greg, repeatedly if there was a catch or if there were going to be any additional charges and I was assured in no uncertain terms that it was a flat rate and everything was included in the $350.
Having lazily and sloppily moved about 80% of our belongings, they refused to take the rest of our stuff, they met us at our new place. To our absolute shock and horror they produced an invoice for $2,000!!!!!!! Then told us that they wouldn't unload any of our stuff until we produced that amount in cash. We spent 2 hours fighting with them, speaking to various "managers" on the phone and they were all as useless as one another. My husband finally managed to talk them down to $1,200 but they literally dumped everything on the ground floor leaving me and my husband to move beds and mattresses upstairs and other heavy furniture down to the basement.
After all of this was over, we went online to find out what we could about this disgusting company, where we found all of the complaints on this website. I also found a news article showing how 2 of the 3 guys who moved our stuff were arrested and jailed for drug possession just a few weeks ago so it just confirms to me that this whole operation is run by criminals.

I am going to do everything I can to get this company shut down, starting by contacting Gina M Betts, Deputy District Attorney...
