Platinum Exports or Platinum Insurance L Complaint

Trying to sell money laundering business

- I living Maryland, but online company is based in UK
I received this e-mail yesterday:

Good day to you,

This is an email from the desk of Platinum Exports in the United Kingdom, also know as Great Britain.
We would like to know if you would be interested to work for us, as a part-time job, which would not disturb your current job.

We have our company here in U.K and we deal on Car Buying, Car care,Insurance, Training on how to drive, Loans and leasing, Motorcycle services and so many more.

We have few clients from the USA/CANADA, California, Florida, New York, Ontario, Quebec and so many other states in the USA/CANADA, but we have Been having problems with most of our clients from USA/CANADA

When it comes to payment because most of them prefer to pay via Money Order or Travelers check which cannot be cashed easily here.

So we are looking for a trust worthy person who will be helping us with the payment issued out by our clients inform of Money Order or Travellers check since payment like that can be easily cashed in the United State.

We can easily track anybody that runs away with our money through the help of the Interpol and the FBI.

We are also planning on establishing a new branch in the
USA/CANADA,very soon, but we really need a representative that we would trust and have believed in.

The payments are going to come via Check or Money Orders,so all you need do is as soon as you get the check/Money Orders, you just take it

to your bank cash it and deduct the 10% of the money and send the rest to us via money gram or western union.

If you are interested, we would require the following:
1. Full name
2. Address (including city, state and zipcode)
3. Phone and and fax numbers
4. Any form of identification
5. Details of where you currently work and your position in your work
place.

Please reply to jrcurtis00@yahoo.de
We do hope to hear from you as soon as possible,
Thanks in anticipation.

I think it is a scam. I think you should report it to the authorities immediately and broadcast the story in the air.

However, my email was stated as such...

"My Name is Michael Blair and I'm the C.E.O of Platinum Exports Company. We'd like to offer you additional earnings of $2000-$8000 per month.
All you would be doing is receiving these payments that would come to you via the mail system in your country from our customers/clients, have them cashed and remit the rest to me. I would be willing to pay you 10% of whatever payment you process. These payments would come in different forms such as checks, money orders, travellers cheques, etc.
Respond only if you will like to work from home part-time/full time and get paid weekly without leaving or it affecting your present job. (PAY IS GOOD).

Best Regards,
Mr. Michael Blair

OK. First off, a real company would not send out any "business email" with as many typo errors as were in this email, or abbrev. such as "info" instead of "information". Second of all, what ligit business has an email link like that? Also when I looked up Platinum Exports Company on Google all I came up with were stories like these.
MOST IMPORTANTLY... WHY WOULD A COMPANY NEED STRANGERS TO CASH CHECKS FOR THEM???? A REAL COMPANY SHOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM CASHING PAYMENTS FROM THEIR "CUSTOMERS/CLIENTS". PLEASE DO NOT BE FOOLED BY SUCH IDIOTS>...

I have also been sent this scam as well, and the man went by the name of Thomas Cyril. I would like out for that name also. This was a offer too good to be true, and therefore it must be a scam.
