I am so disappointed by the service of ASia direct.
we purchased a prepaid phone card in chevron fairfild, ca last night as a stop over from vacaville on our way home. We intended to use the phone card when we get home but I thought of using it to call the philippines as my husband drives. As I entered the Pin number, it said that the card is not activated. How? The salesperson clearly swiped the card and 5 dollars was the amount --paid. so icalled the customer service, after 2 calls of 5 minutes each of waiting there was still no one taking my call..I was in HOLD forever.
I began to think that this asia direct is a SCAM, a FAKE, a HOAX, and I am starting to believe it is. There goes my 5 dollars I told myself and a birthday greeting I am supposed to call to my dad.
So I did not end here, I called again, luckily after 5 minutes again someone picked adn I explained my side. they asked my pin number which I gave and they validated but requested me to go back to the place where I bought the card to have it activated!??!?!?! what!??! I am in the middle of the freeway?!!? 20 miles away from where I bought it. I spoke with the supervisor (robert ) got his name and said I am sure he has a way of checking that the card is valid and I bought it. he said he sees in the computer that it is indeed VALID and that he cannot do anything..I need to go back to FAIRFIELD!!!
I don't know what kind of technology Asia direct has, but as I know in this year 2010 there must be a way of activating that card in a touch of a button, especially after confirming that the card is bought. I don't want to hear any excuses, no explanations just a guarantee that I bought the card and that I can make use of my money's worth. I have been using prepaid phonecards for many many years and never had a problem with California Central or Atlas. When we bought these typeof brands there was no ACTIVATING knowned of. You just buy the card adn off you go. No more hassles.
I don't know how you Asia direct makes money, but this is awfully stupid and deceiving. I the community know about my bad experience so that the product can not trick anyone who buys it.
