PG&E Smart Reader - $1399.29 back bill!!! - Electric & Gas - sm

received e-mail bill from PG&E Monday morning stating $899.75 was due, I of course call immediately. Upon calling while logging into my online account I see that the actual amount due is $1399.29! I have received a bill everymonth that I have paid in full. The person on the phone stated that the smart reader had not been billing us for electricity since Dec. I ask to speak to a supervisor and he stated the issue had started 4 Nov but assured me that the usage was correct and that they would set me up on a 3 month payment plan. When I look at he usage history it varies from 390 in the summer to 704 in the winter, they somehow came up with 4908 usage for the months of Dec, Jan and now Feb! I find it hard to take that there equipment malfunctioning is my fault and I should pay! I would never let our high usage continue if I knew our bill was that much and I would never let it rack up that high over that short of a time period!
