Parsons Pest Management Complaint

Pest Control Company is Bugging Me!! - Online Store - item backordered - requested refund 3 months ago - not issuesd

On 5/11/11, I was looking online to purchase Cedarcide (a pest killer that is not harmful to humans or pets & has great reviews). We just moved from AZ in March & were having issues with fleas & ticks in our country home in Pennsylvania & needed to spray inside & outside quickly. I located Parsons Pest Management & placed a $191.94 order to try the indoor/outdoor kit (it was listed as being "in stock" and available for shipment).

On 6/2/11 I received an email to inform me that the products were backordered from the manufacturer for an unknown period of time (at least 10 days)so I immediately emailed (and left a voice message with their answering service)to ask Parsons to cancel my order & refund my $$ since it had already been 3 weeks! Thankfully, I was able to order the product from the manufacturer (Cedarcide) directly & it arrived within a week. I became suspicious about the "backordered from the manufacturer" story at that time. I also looked online & found that Parsons has a very poor consumer review rate on their own website & on the BBB site - I only wish I had checked this prior to placing my order.

On 6/17, I received an email from Sindy Bonelli that my order was backordered for "2 weeks...or longer". I emailed her back later that same day to (again) "cancel the order & credit the account".

After an additional 3-4 weeks had gone by, I left another message with the Parsons Pest Management answering service to check on the refund status. On 7/13, "JB" emailed "I have sent your response to the our finance Department and they working on your refund. We are sorry for the inconvience".

Since we still had not received any formal letter or explanation, on 8/12, I was in need of more Cedarcide so I emailed JB to see if he could send me $191.94 in products: "PCO" & "Best Yet" Solution rather than continuing the refund saga. Today is 8/24 & I just checked my account - NO REFUND, NO REPLY, NO CHECK in the mail, NO PRODUCT DELIVERY - NOTHING!!

I love the Cedarcide products & will continue to purchase them, just not from Parsons. I am very impressed with the level of pest management & am thrilled that my dogs & my family are safe and not exposed to harmful neurotoxins. I am so disappointed in non-existent customer service at Parsons and am quite surprised that they are still in business. For a Pest Management Company, they are certainly bugging me!!!

I have filed a complaint with the BBB today &
thank you very much for your time & assistance with the prompt resolution of this matter.
