As I parked my car in Costco parking (Hazlet) guy came behind me in maroon Van and said " Hey do you need a Home Theatre system, I know this sounds crazy but my warehouse put too many in my truck and I have 2 extra". "He said his boss will sell this if he takes it back to him and it's good if he gets some money rather than his boss and he does need money". "He made claims of warranty and said his warehouse has made a mistake and they won't know so he's selling it and said he's running out of time". He told me all about the product that sounded good. He showed me the MSRP $2499.00. I told him I don't want it and I don't want to buy something so expensive. He said he hasn't quoted his price and directly quoted $500.
I said no and started walking so he followed and said pay $250 then $150 and kept on insisting. As I was looking to buy new speakers for home I said show me the system which he did but not completely as he was running out of time. I said max I can pay is $100 and he finally took it but said I would have to buy him a beer next time he was in town. I went inside Costco and was feeling suspicious so tried to google it up but I was not having reception. When I came out and googled it I realized that I was scammed. The box said it was 120 volts and 1500 amps but there was no cord to plug it in.
