Lowes Appliance Repair Complaint

Oven Repair - Frigidaire Stove

- Hazleton, PA
I contracted Lowe's, where I purchased the stove, in early December 2010 to fix the oven, which failed out of warranty. They sent a service man from Appliance Outlet on 12/11/10, who said he would send for the part and fix it prior to the Christmas holiday, which I paid $244.99 at that time. After two months and repeated calls to Lowe's, I contacted Frigidaire direct, got the correct part within 2 days and another day to install. It took until 2/14/11 to get the oven operational through an authorized Frigidaire service center. I had to pay them also, since it is out of warranty. Now I am waiting for at least a refund on the part from Lowe's Appliance Outlet, that was paid for in early December 2010. I can forward a copy of the original invoice that was paid on December 11, 2010 for $244.99. Now I get no help from Lowe's, who keep referring me to Appliance Outlet. Lowe's is responsible, since they were my initial contact. Now they will do nothing to refund my money. This was a very aggravating experience. On top of paying out hard earned money on something that we never received. I hope to spare others from going through this.
