NW Natural will not fix billing errors, therefore, causing me and my 6 year old to not have any heating source in our newly purchased home. I have been divorced for 5 years and have not lived in the home that NW Natural gas sent to collections for 5 years. After explaining that I have had their service in the last couple of years and did not know it was still under my name too, they told me that unless I specifically tell them, they wouldn't let me know. Also, there is no way to remove me from the account, even if my ex husband contacts them to let them know. I find that odd because now I am enrolling for service, and they found the account right away, only because it's in collections now and not once in the last 5 years did they mention I had another account. Not over the phone or online. I have no other option as there are no other gas companies in my area. My only option is to buy space heaters which is not the most economical or safe with a 6 year old.
