The other day I was searching for a camera for my girlfriend, and I googled "cheap cameras." Within the top 3 sites that google gave me was a site called swipebids. Com and right when I clicked on it, a video of a news segment came on about a man who won a laptop for under $300 or so. The video alone was enough for me to click on a link, which then told me I had to be a member of the site to participate. I entered my credit card information and later found out that the site had billed me $150.00 For a one year membership, which to me was outrageous. Unfortunately I didn't read the fine print which stated it would. This site doesn't have anyone you can call, only a live chat that gave me the same answers over and over. I have to wait 30 days before I can get my money back and I have to mail in a refund claim. Unfortunately I can't even do that anymore because if you've won anything on the site, you automatically don't qualify for the refund. So basically, this site scammed me for my $150.00 And basically ruined my chances to get it back, no matter how much I complained about it. Before I even participated in a bid, they wouldn't give me my money back, and they stated that I have to actively participate on the site to qualify for my money back. I won something I didn't even want to win, more bids, and now no longer qualify for my full refund. I'm outraged that this site still exists and can still take other people's money just like they took mine. I'm even more upset that they won't direct me to a higher power that I can take to court or express my unhappiness and troubles, yet they claim to have the best customer service. I'm so filled with anger and feel like I've been robbed, and the worst part is that it's almost as if I can't do anything to get my money back. I just threw away $150.00 And I didn't even have $150.00 To throw.
