purchased a toyota camry 2009 from Ramsey Volvo with less than 18000 miles on the car. I picked up the plates and regisration today 5/5/11 and took it for an inspection in my home state ny. The car failed for a tire which was cracking and had an air bubble in it. I spoke and took it to the Ramsey Volvo dealershipshowed them and was told I must have done it. There is cracking all around the tire which was shined up with amourall when I picked it up originally. This is not only a deception but a safety issue for my family. I have pictures and told them I would proceed further. After a call from Tom Mandel the service mgr who said he spoke twice w/Arthur Piciano and tells me there is nothing he can do to help me other than sell me a tire at cost. My contract states I will pass inspection which I have not w/the tires provided by Volvo unaltered by me.
The manager also would not give me a phone number to contact Arthur or a way to set an appointment to see him to resolve the issue. So now I am issuing a complaint against the dealership, since it did not live up to its guarantee to pass inspection.
