NPG Cable or Cablevision of Flagstaff Complaint

Pay for Digital Cable -- NO BOXES AVAIL-- PAY MORE! - Cable Television

- Arizona - Flagstaff, Arizona
Cablevision of Flag. is the ONLY CableTV service avail in Flag (other than satelite). Many of us are paying for "DIGITAL" cable service, but when the installer arrives to set you up you are told that there are no digital cable boxes available and ETA on when to expect one. Without it, you can not receive many of the stations you would with it. I was told that you can get the extra channels if you pay extra for HD or DVD service. We've been without this for a month now and now word on when we can expect a box. Sounds to me like a great gimmick to have to pay EXTRA for the HD or DVD service it you really want the extra channels. (In our case it is the GOLF channel.) I checked with the AZ BBB and there are no complaints on the company registered, which really surprised me. Can you help?? or at least look into this racket? Isn't Cable TV regulated by someone? HELP -- into GOLF-WITHDRAWAL!

All cable-vision companies must be regulated by public-utility-commisions. If this were true we would not have companies like this preying on consumers. They do not have the ability to police themselves, they do not have the corporate morality to operate in an honest/professional manner. We need consumer-protection legislation in this country!!

This is exactly what happened to me! Bait and switch to get you to go to High Def. Told me they had 3 pages of people waiting for digital boxes! Missed Westmister dog show because they
didn't broadcast a live event! sucks.

Ah, good ole NPG [Not Pretty Good] Cable company! Here in the Rim Country [Pine, Payson and Strawberry] its like having No TV whatsoever. Duty cycle is about 50%, that is, it is off almost as much as it is on! They [NPG] chase customers off to Satellite TV providers! My suggestion
