In October of 2005, North West Airlines, announced, that they will fly to Bangalore, India. We booked 5 passengers; in business class to go to Bangalore, On among them is Burk Fredric., who was originating in Huntsville, Alabama. We made one set of tickets for domestic portion, and one set of ticket Detroit to Bangalore, and paid the airlines.
One week before, we were informed that they will not fly to Bangalore, India. We informed the passenger, who simply told us they will sue us if they dont reach Bangalore India. In business class.
We called North west reservation to protect the passengers, as had paid the airlines, we were told just take a refund and try other airlines.
One our relatives in Bangalore, who works in travel industry, informed us Norwest airlines, had not made any arrangements to land in Bangalore , the airport Authorities had no information and he had had not heard any thing about Northwest airlines landing in Bangalore.
It appears because Northwest airlines had financial problems, they just played this game.
We lost over $2000, to put this passenger on other airlines, besides Northwest airlines has sent us debit memo for canceling their domestic flight portion.
We request you to investigate this matter and take action on these airlines
