one week the house was sitting there, next week, gone. No one knows what happened to it.
This was my Dad's and Mother's and I inherited the property. All of our belongings, about 50 years worth was
gone. The house had been leveled. All, everything, gone.
We all loved this house. It was not in bad shape. This town of many empty (steel mill closings) properties. I
had only been gone about one year with all expections
of returning to the only home I knew.
There was so much history in this home. Who, why? I was
suppose to be in negoiations with Mortgage company, Countrywide to refinance or modify loan. Even
though everyone wanted this house, what gave them the
right to take from me my whole past, present and future?
I have waken up every morning and go to sleep every night
with these questions. I am still in shock after 3 months.
I have not been able to think of nothing else.
what do I do? Is there any help for people like me?
Who never got the chance to use government benefits.
My Dad fought for this country, my uncles and cousins and
husband did also. What happened? My husband is disabled,
Iam retired to take care of this viet nam vet and now we
have ...nothing...no where to belong...It is so sad for us.
I could go on and on about the soliders (next to VA Hospital), foreign students, and many others who knew this
location and our home was their home too.
