Newcastle Brown Ale Complaint

Newcastle Faulty Beer Cases

- Tadcaster England
The following was sent to Newcastle 5/24/11 along with photos, and called into their New York office the same day.

Tuesday, May 24, 2011
Being drinkers of Newcastle beer for quite some time (one apiece a day for a couple 74 years old) I would like to bring to your attention the fact that the handles on your 24 bottle cases only support one half of the case the other half by adhesive only. Which if carried from car to kitchen with the glued half away from the body can cause the front half to pop open! Dumping all 24 bottles out!
In this case on our recently installed (09/23/2010) parquet kitchen floor was soaked in Newcastle beer after one and a half hours of cleaning up we noticed the edges of our flooring had raised up slightly. This mourning it is the same.
We returned the broken case and bottles to Stater Brothers manager Regina Kerr at 1530 hours and asked for someone from Newcastle to come out and look at our floor. She spent some time trying to locate the distributer to no avail.
It is our wish to have someone from Newcastle come out and look at the damage done by the faulty carrying handles of your Newcastle cases.
It has been brought to my attention that a similar incident happened to my wife after lifting a case out of the car. That incident only had one bottle break.
Attached you will see photos of this Incident. I wish to be contacted in a timely matter.
I was told they would get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. Which has not happened
