In 2008, we had a new roof installed on our home. During the first significant rainstorm after the installation, it failed catastrophically, flooding parts of our house with ankle-deep water, causing thousands of dollars in water damage to the house and contents. In the intervening 2 years, the contractor has refused to pay 1 cent in damages, and refused to pay for replacement of the defective roof, and the leak continues. The City of San Ramon revoked their “passed inspection” status on our house. As a result, the house now has black mold and mildew, causing serious potential health problems for our family. The contractors’ representatives have given testimony under oath about this situation that they knew at the time to be false. We have extensive video tape of the damages and the leaks, and also have tape of comments made by contractor’s management personnel that substantiate the claims we have given. They came to our home months ago to “temporally fix” the problem. We have not heard from them since. Today, March 20, 2011 the rain continues to pour in. They cut a huge hole in the sheeting under the shingles. They knew this at the time and continued to try and “cover it up.” We have this conversation on video, while they knew they were being taped. Sierra Roofing continues to ignore all of our correspondence.
