I am writing because I don't know where else to turn. I am having a problem with obtaining my security offficer license from the New Jersey state police. I paid all fees and passed the training but have not received my license in the mail. I was told that my license was mailed on June 13th and I should have it by the end of the week. When the end of the week came and went I called again on the next Monday morning and was told if I didn't receive it by Friday to call back which I did. They said another one would be mailed on that Saturday. Its now Thursday and still no license. I have been told that mail only gets picked up once a week. I have. Been told it takes 5 to 10 business days. Yet I still have not received a license and tomorrow is July 1st. Please note I receive all other mail. I spoke to someone again today and gave my moms address and again was told 5 to 10 days. I spoke to a supervisor and he told me oh it sits here for a few days and then sits somewhere else for a few days and then somewhere else. Since when does it take a month to receive mail from the same state. I asked if I could pick it up in person and was told no. You can't work security without a license and I can't get my license. A company has been holding a position for me since June 13th and I don't believe they will hold it much longer. How can this possibly be right? I need some answers and some help.
