On October 2nd we have done a regular service and tansmission flush on our 2006 Toyota Camry at Power Toyota, Tempe. On October 10 at 7:40 pm while my 18 year old son, Jason was driving the vehicle, the battery exploded and fire occurred in the hood damaging several parts and the hood cover. The Chandlre Fire department found that the clamp which holds the battery was kept loose and it shifted to one of the poles of the battery caused the fire. I talked to the service manager, General Manager of Tempe Toyota and they denied the responsibility of repairing the vehicle saying the battery is from Costco. This incident is not due to the battery which was replaced back in October of 2008, but due to the loose clamp they left after the service.
I made complaint to BBB to which also, they denied the responsibility. I as a customer was never advised by the service about the hazard or they neglected to do so. They put my 18 year old son and others in danger. I am requesting you all to get me the justice and get my car repaired at their cost.
Thank you,
Pastor Roy Cheriyan
