Hi my name is Nicole, I am a single mother having an issue with NIPSCO, and I need help. This seems wrong and unfair and I don't know where to go for help. I received a disconnect notice from NIPSCO that was due on 4/8/11. I called to make payment arrangements and was told I couldn't until July and that I had to make the full payment on that same day or I will be cut off. I asked around and finally got someone to pay it. I had to use their debit card so I went through their eds system. I made the payment on the 4/8/11. Now its is Monday and NIPSCO disconnected my service. I called to see why and they said they could see I made the payment on Friday but because I failed to call in the confirmation number they disconnected my service. Also, in order for me to get it back on I have to pay a deposit and reconnection fee. I am unemployed at this moment and real services has helped me with this bill. I can not pay the deposit; this seems so unfair because they can see I made the payment on the 8th. Is there anything I can do or could you please help me.
