I'm not sure if it was National Grid or LIPA (they operate under the same umbrella) but they blew a transformer that caused an electical surge that burned through all the appliances in the house and my neighbors home. None of the appliances work and they are trying to offer depreciated values for appliances (TV, radio, stoves, fridge, computers and etc). These appliances were in working order prior the transformer blowing and they all have to replaced. Gary Wunsch 631-348-4103 is the claims department and is trying offer us money for depreciated value. He wants to offer us pennies for appliances that cost thousands of dollars to purchase and will cost thousands to replace. This was solely the company's negligence and as their victim -- they want victimize us even more by putting us in financial hole? None of the amenities that we are used to work, it's a recession, not only are they at fault, they acknowledge the fault but they're trying to stick it to us again. It's outrageous!!!!
