General Motors Complaint

My dead 2007 Corvette - Warrenty

- Rockland County NY
My 2007 Corvette needed a new battery that is still covered under my 3 year warranty. I had not used the car for approx. 1 1/2 months and I guess the alarm system used the battery until it was DEAD. The company that GM sent to give me a jump start tried to jump start the car but it did not work. They told me I needed to replace the battery. So I said thanks & sent them away. I called GM roadside assistance again, and was told they would have to take the car to a dealership approx. 10 miles away & in a different County that I live in.
I asked if I could just have my own mechanic replace the battery & reimburse him. I was told NO. Soooo they recalled the tow company that sent out a flatbed to take my Corvette to have the battery replaced. When the car arrived at Frank Chevrolet they called and asked if anything else was needed, which I replied no. I then asked would they flatbed the car or would the tow company GM hired would? I was told NO you have to come pick up the car. I was not told this when they took the car. I called GM AND WAS TOLD IT IS IN THE OWNERS MANUAL. Well I didn't read that. I just knew I needed a battery. GM will not even pay my cab fare, or have someone from the dealership pick me up so I get my Vet. I paid over $43,000.00 for this car that does not yet have 5000 mile on it.
NOW I REALLY KNOW ONE OF THE REASONS GM IS IN TROUBLE.
