My son is adhd he attended monarch elementary this year. I received a phone call at work from the principal mrs. Maness that they were having some trouble with him and asked if I could come get him. I informed her I was working I wouldn't be able to get him let him finish out the day. 2 Weeks prior she stated they had all these programs for adhd behavior thats the first and last time she talked about that the first and only option she gave me was to come get him every time he looked out the window or didn't pay attention. She informed me that my child could not return back to school until I had a meeting with mr. Stribble, who is over disabilities and special needs he missed 3 unexcused days of school until I could get him sighned up for school at lockhart elementary. The only way they would let him go back to monarch was for half a day where he would get out of school at 11:45 every day when no one would be at home with him. I think this matter is very unfair and when I tried to voice my oponion to mrs. Maness she very unprofessionally hung up the phone on me. What do they do for kids with adhd? So far mine has been left behind. I don't know anywhere else to turn for help the school system has let me down. My son is now going to lockhart. Does any school in s. C. Take adhd kids and actually work with them to help them too? They need more options in these situations
