Decided to see if it was worth purchasing a $40.00 membership with CostCo.
Went to the Vallejo CA. Costco to take a look at what kind of merchandise they have and when I walked into the entrance I was asked to see my membership card, I told the employee that I am interested in becoming a member with Costco but I would first like to see what they offer prior to purchasing a one year membership with CostCo. I was flat out told that I cannot enter without purchasing a membership card first. I told the employee I would like to see what items you have before I go and pay for something like a membership then come to find out you do not have items that I would like to purchase. The employee said "No" I cannot let you in until you purchase a membership card. Then I also mentioned to the employee that I am not a member of Costco but I order all my medicine at their Pharmacy and you let me in to go to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine without a membership card. I was told by the employee that was different.
It personally embarrasss me to be told I could not come in to their business.......
Why do I have to purchase a membership fee before I can look to see if it is worth purchasing if I haven't even seen what they are selling? This really sounds "Stupid" Am I still in "America" ?????? I'm just like anyone else who would like to see what I'm going to purchase before I make a commitment to buy a membership to their business ???
