Biotabnutriceuticals Complaint

Multimillion Dollar Scam - Alteril Sleep Aid

- monrovia calif.
Millions of innocent consumers are scammed daily by deceptive infomercials for Alteril sleep aid. When you call for your so called free sample kit you have to give a credit card number for the ninety eight cent postage. However you never receive the sample. What you get is an instant charge on your credit card for $36.90 that is almost impossible to cancel. Read thousands of this same scam on numerous sites such as ripoff.com or infomercialscams.com. I have reported this to the FTC and several other agencys. Is this perhaps a case of money getting in the way of justice? With thousands being ripped of daily why has this been able to continue? Biotabneutriceuticals was fined in 2004 for $30.000 that is like a little slap for them I imagine that is one days worth of consumer ripoff.

I have also been scammed by this company. Rather than repeat the details of my story, I think it will more helpful to warn others that Alteril has recieved a grade of "F" from the Better Business Bureau, the worst grade possible. Here is where you can review the report for Alteril (aka "Biotab," aka "Maximizer Health Products") in Monrovia, CA:
http://www.la.bbb.org/BusinessReport.aspx?CompanyID=13168142

Here is what a grade of "F" means:
"We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices."

I ordered alteril and put a 2-day shipping on it so that I could try it before the 7 day period was up and be able to cancel if not satisfied. They shipped me extenze and by the time I called and checked they had sent another months supply of the extenze product. When the month’s supply came I sent it back return to sender as per instruction from customer service. It is now about 12 days later and they are saying that they have not received it. If I don't get a credit on my card back the 50 plus dollars they owe me I will take action even if it cost me. I don't like this type of business.
