On October 30th Public Van Lines packed my furniture up in Denver, CO on a truck, then told me I had to pay them $1,952 more in fees or they would dump my furniture on driveway with snowstorm on it's way. Coerced, I agreed. They ran my credit card through for the additional $1952, now being paid a total of $3800 rather than the contract price of $1842.
On November 14, PVL delivered only a portion of my furniture. They demanded I sign a credit card form for %3800 again before they would deliver the rest of my household goods. They kept the most valuable goods: Beds, original artwork, marble table, Ethan Allen bedroom furniture and Dining room set as well as office equipment, files and furnishings.
As of December 14, I still do not have possession of the rest of my goods, though I've had numerous calls to their offices. I have contacted AMSA (American Moving & Storage Association who wrote a letter to them stating they could be in violation of various regulations by AMSA which can result in $10,000 fines daily. Still they will not budge.
Please help me! Also please help to make sure this NEVER happens to another person!
