Single Mother gets Screwed by Car Dealer
1. Sold vehicle without passed emissions certificate
2. Fraudulent emmissions certificate 4 days after sale
3. Disciplinary Action by The Georgia State Board of Registration of Used Motor Vehicle Dealers
4. Now out of business according to the Used Dealers Board
During the holidays the transmission on my van goes out and suddenly I'm in desperate need of a vehicle!!! I've got to go to work, my 3 children have things they need to do, and with the bus line being 2 miles away from my house, getting around without a vehicle of my own was virtually impossible!!!
Luckily tax time was right around the corner so I take my refund and go to Jordan Auto Sales on Tara Blvd. A shiny burgundy Nissan Altima catches my eye so I take it for a test drive...and I love it!!! Not only was I getting a ride, I was also being TAKEN FOR ONE!!!
They sold me a vehicle, with a bad engine, without an emissions certificate. After 4 days of the run-around, they took the car for emissions, and it passed.
How can a vehicle with a bad engine pass emissions? Well, you can scan the barcode on the actual vehicle and plug the testing equipment into a similar vehicle, and that's what they did to mine. Too bad they weren't smart enough to pay attention to the mileage which is read by the vehicles computer. It was more than 1000 miles off. They gave me a fake emissions certificate.
I've filed complaints with the Used Car Dealer Board and the Georgia Clean Air Force. Disciplinary Action was taken against Jordan Auto Sales by the Used Car Dealer Board and the company is now out of business.
I called the phone number listed on my sales receipts and someone answered saying "Jordan". I believe they're still in business, even at other locations. Please help!!! I need recourse. I want my money back and to have this taken off of my credit.
