Bought a Mintek DVD Player as a Christmas gift, MDP-1710 Ser. No 041000485705-21G, unit didn't play. Mintek Customer service was called by telephone, and after many recorded messages of transfer to, no live voice was reached. Finally a live misrepresenting was on the phone, and gave instructions to send the unit for repair.
May 31, 2007, the replacement unit was sent and received June 5, 2007, The replacement unit was a MM7000 Ser No 050416391-22D, which ran a DVD three fourth of the way through, then froze. Called Mintek, call was received by by a lady, and her instructions carried out as to how and to and where to ship. Unit was shipped, and since then, have not been able to connect by telephone to find out the status of unit to be repaired.
The phone numbers get a busy signal, and on line, using the address given, no other phone number a listed, and the addresses arn't listed in the search menu.
