I bought an electric fireplace-Mantel and insert-November, 2006. The motor burned out three months later. It is now August, 2007 and still no replacement or repair of any kind.
Neither Menards nor CFM have accepted responsibility for the faulty fan/motor. Menards pushes it on CFM and CFM states as soon as they get the numbers they can replace the parts. The individual must pay for the installing. I have given them every number and date and still no action. They are waiting for the warranty year to pass by, I think. They have two different offices in Canada.
Menards headquarters can not be reached by phone or e-mail: only by a form letter from the local store which is obviously ignored.
They have lost another customer.
