In January we purchase Mega health insurance reach we were told it would pay the doctor without a copay and would have a fifteen dollar copay on medicine. We were also told that the hospital insurance would come into effect 30 days after it came into effect. My husband got sick on feb.14 and he went to the doctor and gave them the card. Which my son also went. Those visits were suppose to be cover without a copay. My husband had to go to the hospital for tests on the 24 Feb to see if they could find what wrong with him they thought he might have got the peanut butter positioning,but it show up not to be so the doctor sent him back for more tests on Feb. 26.
When we got the results back he said it was cancer and made him another appointment at another doctor in Jonesboro. He got so sick I had to ahead and take him to the hospital early than his appointment. It was confirm on that night he had cancer just about all over his body. We new the insurance would not pay for the hospital yet, after the 19 of March it was suppose to pay everything Chemo and doctor visits, but we have not seen them pay anything other 50.00 to the doctor. We have hime on Medicaid and the Medicaid people are trying to get them to tell what they are going to pay and what they are not going to pay. The insurance company said they are waiting on the hospital to lower there bill is the way I think I understand it. Medicaid said they could not wait on them, Medicaid said they call the hospitals and the hospital and doctors have file the insurance and have not sent any thing back to them. When we contact the insurance after you get thru they are rude and tell they are waiting for them to say my husband has never been seen for cancer before, which he hasn't.
We get the run around we have cancel the insurance and Medicaid has come back and said they would go back and pick up hospital bills back to Jan., but this insurance company has sent us about 300 sheets of paper saying we are in receipt different prices going from 0.00 to 14,000. Believe me we did not count on my husband having cancer and with the grace of god he is still with,but these people on us about 1500 dollars all they are doing is wasting it on paper I have the papers to prove it. Sometimes they sent 8 letters in one evelope so that tells they are using my money for postage an copy paper not to pay any bills and they have had time almost five months. Please advised anybody against this insurance because it rip us off.
