Nissan 112 -Patchouge, NY Complaint

Majior car dealership Forges customers signature - Automobile Purchase

- Patchouge , New York
I recently took a trip to Nissan 112, a local auto dealership based in Patchouge, New York to shop for a newer automobile to celerbrate my 2nd successful year in business. After 5 minutes upon arrival at the store, I was greeted by a salesman ( Named John Corpac) , as I inquired about a georgeous Nissan 370Z, in white with all the extras...

It wasn't long after meeting him that he offered to go on a test drive with me..After the test drive, the pressure started. First, they asked me for a copy of my drivers license, then they appraised my 2004 BMW M3 (RED) toward a trade in value with the known fact that I did not have the title for the BMW yet because I had recently put it on the road....after 20 min of debate, we all finally came to a number of 21000.00 for the BMW. I agreed to this (Verbally). next Mr Corpac filled out a sales sheet and asked me for my credit card, in which he was going to secure a 1,000.00 dollar deposit, running the card, but never having me sign anything. Next, he asked me to fill out a credit application to see what bank would finance the car. This all took place on May 17,2010 at approx 2 pm.

After leaving the dealership that day, I was telephoned by Mr Corpac, advising me to bring down some additional paperwork , (things like a utility bill, Pay stub, ect.)in which I did so. After several days, I was informed by Mr corpac to come down to the dealership to fill out additional paperwork. When I arrived at the dealership that evening, I was shocked to learn that the appraiser had written down a value for the BMW far less than originally Quoted...( the value went from a fair 21,000.00 way down to 17,000.00) I discovered this on or about may 27,2010.. I immideately wanted to cancel the deal at that point, and with that said, the finanbce manager (Paul) took my debit card again explaining to me that he needed it to refund my money. I later found out that instead of refunding my deposit, they charged an additional 3300.00 on the debit card. I immideately protested, and the answer that both Paul and mr Corpac gave me was " You own the car now"...I was shocked. Especially since I was still waiting for the Title for the BMW..Both Mr Corpac and Paul explained in a very firm tone that I was going to loose my 4300.00 as well as be responsible for the loan that was approved for the auto. I received a letter form the funding company ( Condor Capital - Hauppauge, NY 11788) welcoming me to the company and that they processed a loan in the amount of 17,900.00 at 18% intrest rate for 54 months-I almost cried.!!

Someone at Nissan 112 forged my signature to obtain a loan in my name, and I feel that something should be done about this terrible incident. After many days of back and fourth debate, The dealership is basically telling me that I will have no car, I will loose my 4,300.00, and Its my tough luck. I to this day do not have the car, I still have my BMW M3, and I disputed the charges, which the Bank (JP Morgan Chase) has credited my account... I just want to go on my way and not be harassed by these people ( If thats what you call them)...

The dealership is now threatening to drop the auto on my front steps." This is the sickest thing that I have ever heard"...

Nissan 112 FORGED MY NAME TOO! They increased the purchase price of my car, changed the interest rate AND the length of the loan. I didn't find out for over a year until I went to trade my car in and found out that my payoff was over 28k but meanwhile I only paid 21k sticker price for the car! They changed all the terms, even misspelling my name when they forged my signature! spoke to credit mgr who admitted they did it
