About a week and a half ago I purchased the 2.3 oz City Country Girl chocolate chips cookies from Whole Foods Market. To my astonishment after eating my second piece of cookie I did not only find a nest of maggots, but I found a couple of live maggots roaming around the bag and the cookies. I was and still am really astonished and discussed. What upsets me is that since I have food allergies I try to be very cautious with what I buy, and theses cookies are “organic” therefore I was expecting the best quality. They were not even expired. I e-mailed the company, and told them about my traumatizing experience, they didn’t even bother to apologize. I still have the cookies because I didn’t know what to do with them. I have decided to return it to Whole Foods. I just hope they don’t just throw it away and pretend like if it did not happened. I’m sure that if that bag had maggots, then other bags must have maggots as well.
Ps. I have pictures and a recording.
