Food delivery service hustles seniors - sells appliances instead of food! - Food delivery service

My wife and I signed up with LTT Gourmet Foods, Inc. of Cerritos, CA. to have food (w/o perservatives, hormones, etc.) delivered. After 2 food deliveries, purchasing the freezer, the cookware and the cutlery (to earn more discounts on the cost of the food), the company stopped delivering the food. We have not received any food for many, many months. And we are left having to pay for these appliances.
We’ve made numerous phone calls, with no return call from anyone in the company. In December ’07, a rep finally came out and took an order (after 9 months of no service). The customer service manager informed us (the rep and me) that the company does not finance orders under $1,000.00. Full disclosure was not given before hand. We were told we'd have to pay cash for the order or increase the amount of the order to get it financed. We were given a delivery date for January 14,’08. I called to confirm my delivery and was told that the company hadn’t placed a food order in two months and as a result when the order arrives, it would take longer to service the customers because there’s only 1 delivery driver and truck. I was told the first delivery date was being pushed back to 1/21/08. To date, no food has been received. Called 2/2/08 asking about the no delivery and the customer service mgr, when asked why we didn't get a courtesy call about this, said it wasn't his responsibility. Yet, he originally gave us the 2 delivery dates.
The cookware is falling apart. The company rep picked up the defective cookware on 12/18/07 to be returned to the manufacturer and replaced. Have not heard anything since December. I am not able to use the cookware because of missing parts, which the company has not returned. I faxed the owner of the company and asked that he tell me in writing how he intends to resolve this mess. No response, but the customer service manager said the owner told him he did receive the fax. There are others having the same problem, this is not an isolated matter. Called the finance company and asked if we could stop paying the bills for the appliances and they said no. Also asked if the owner of LTT Gourmet Foods, Inc. was in any way associated with their company. I was told no. The finance company said they would look into the problem. They are: Jefferson Financial. Nothing to date.
