My car has been at this body shop since 2/18/11. They received $2,010.63 from my insurance company on 2/25/11 and were given 10 days to fix the car. Today 3/25/11 my car was not ready for pick-up.
The North Miami police department gets bombarded with calls from this location.
EVERY TIME I go there I meet other upset consumers who are in the same position. In one case a young man stated that the insurance company had paid for a month's car rental. He had paid for another month's car rental, his friends had gotten him to work but now he'd been fired because he could not get to work. In my case I returned my rental after 30 days so now I'm having to rely on public transportation which doesn't really take me on a timely basis to where I need to get. I have not been able to visit my sick mother in over a month.
H E L P!!, THIS ROUGE COMPANY HAS TO BE STOPPED FROM DEFRAUDING THE UNWARY CONSUMER.

Posted by cartayaf on 04/01/2011 I too, had a very similar incident which I have recently documented in this forum. Your complaint parallels my experience to an eerie extent and reinforces my belief that it's only business as usual for these folks.
After an auto accident and subsequent recommendation from the tower at the scene, I made the regrettable mistake of having taken my car to South Florida Collision, LLC (SFC) in North Miami, FL... Everything was rosy till they had my insurance money, soon after the nightmare began.
I too, experienced an unwarrantably lengthy repair (40 hour Geico estimate turned into a 2 month ordeal). I too, had car rental problems – as Geico only paid for 3 week rental on this protracted fiasco, my out of pocket expense was $839.86 which the owner of SFC, Mr. Edwin Rodriguez promised to reimburse - but never did. And finally I Too, made many phone calls (never had one returned), office visits and “office sit-ins" (which yielded many other disgruntled customers with similar experiences).
Unfortunately, SFC’s business ethics leaves a lot to be desired and it is my deepest wishes that as many people as possible read our feedback and take action accordingly, before they too have a similar incident! Caveat Emptor – let the buyer beware!
Posted by r_dona on 04/19/2011 I, along with 100s of others have been victimized by S FL Collision. Call 311 and speak with Officer Cruz at Dade County Business Complaints. They are very familiar with these fraudsters. S FL Collision has closed. They will be moving to a new locatin under a new name, but the same ripp-off game. We have a large group of victims from S FL C and we are moving foward with legal action. I have been threatened by Edwin and Jason since i continue to post the truth. I have notified my local police of their threats.
