I payed for a service from a company called locators. They run adds in all the news papers an local web sites. They start by showing adds of houses and apartments in your local area . They show you these good deals ,like 3 bedroom house 2 bath, garage, yard, rent to own. Or for a cheap rent like 500 or 600 dollars. This is just the bate to get you to purchase there service . Well most of these adds are fake . They are in the paper an on the web sites but they don't show up on your list. I payed 150.00 For them to provide me a list of local rental houses with rent to own option an also lease purchase. But they are to also list local rental properties. Well you see adds that are posted recently on there add in the papers but you can't find them on your list. As I said they are bate . I have checked the list daily against the news paper and lancaster online the list is a lie . The service has just a few legit adds so they seem for real but they are not. They will only give you back your money after 90 days if you meet there criteria well what happen to customer satisfaction.
I was promised that I would have a long list of homes to choose from, an was assured I could find a place in a week or two . Well its been a month an I have not found 1 place that falls into the criteria I requested. I call them an they say that the properties have been rented already . But why did they never show up on my list. You can see it they have there adds plastered all over the papers as a 1 rentals-- locators an they say a fee is required. It is a scam they are not providing the services they advertise . The rentals they show in the paper are not available to the paying customers I have checked the list against the adds it is a scam.
I want my money back but that will not happen . They have there rules of refund . I thought there was laws to protect
us from rip offs like this. They lie an promise any an all
to get you to sign up they know they can run this scam an
take the money an run. This is a remake of the job list
scam that was run on the locals back in the 80s. I think they are getting around the legal end of it . Buy stating they get information from news papers an other list that is available for free . But they are advertising false nformation to bate there customers in. The other thing is
they say its a 90 day trail service ,but if you want to change your search criteria its a 26 dollar fee plus a 6%
processing fee .
The first list I received was nothing but apartment complexes . My request was a 2 or 3 bedroom house in the country with a 1 or more car garage or storage shed. Pet friendly with rent to own or lease purchase. The range was to be from 600 to 800 monthly.
They had houses in my town listed in the paper that fit my search but they were in there add but not on my list.
Thats why I say scam how can you solicit with a add saying
just listed fee applies call locators . An then the paying customer never sees these listing on there purchased list
what law protects us from these thieves. Who can help the little guy or don't we count except to pay taxes.
