I was a patient of Litetouch, I purchased a $ 4000 whole body laser hair remocal package with a 3 year guarantee. About a month and a half ago, I received a call from the fornt desk clerk letting me know that Lite touch was in negotiation to be merged with Laser Cosmetica and that the latter was going to be pick up their patients, so to wait for 2 weeks and I would be contacted with more information.
Two weeks have gone and no answer. Contacting Laser Cosmetica I get to know that they decided not to honor Litetouch's clients and that it's impossible to get in touch with any of Lite touchs' offices and presonnel.
Doing a quick research on the web I get to know that there are so many other people in the same situation, who have been fraud by the company and filing for fraud claims at the office of attorney general. Hope that letting the media know will help and try to be a support for the nasty situation. thank you very much.

I am in the exact same situation. I received a call saying Laser Cosmetica was taking over LiteTouch clients. I get a call a month ago saying that the Laser Cosmetica office on East 73rd Street has received my file and that I would be able to re-start treatment. I had an appointment for today (12/13/08) and when I got there they told me that they did not have my file and that my appointment was cancelled but they had no idea why. I then find out that Lite Touch has gone out of business and that Laser Cosmetica has no obligation to finish up our contract. They said as a courtesy we can get one free treatment. I had only received one full treatment...I had a minimum of 6 treatments to go. This is not only my story..but me, my sisters and two friends are all in the same exact situation.

I was also a patient of lite touch. I am just out of college and developed some embarassing hair on my shoulders and neck. I decided to pay over $400 for a series of 3 treatments. The first two seemed to work ok and I personally got along great with the woman who treated me. The third, I was treated terribly by a different woman. Its been a few months and I am back to square one with my bear/wolf-like shoulders and neck. So not only was lite touch rude but they were also useless. If anyones making a motion to take this to a higher level I would be more than happy to back you. $400 is alot of money for anyone and I am personally embarrassed to admit I even did something like this. The least they could do was make it worth my while.

Me too. I still have many more sessions to go, mine was tatoo removal. Laser Cosmetica told me that they don't do it. so where should I go? I paid $2000 but did not finish even half of it.

I just recieved a call from Laser Cosmetica saying they would give me half off my service that Lite Touch bail out on me, but guess what they don't do tattoo removal they owe me 4 more treatments.

I was also a Litetouch client who bought a package for 12 tattoo removal treatments and one day before my 7th treatment received the same phone call as mentioned by others above. I am so dissapointed in the way we have been treated and i can't even imagine how many of us there are. I really hope that our story catches the attention of the media, that company does not deserve to walk away this easy! They should be ashamed of themselves. Companies fail everyday, but that does not give the right to act so unprofessional.

I have the same situation as others. I was in the three year guarantee period with a large amount of lazer treatment areas. I felt misled and misinformed about Lite Touch's current situation with Laser Cosmetica. We should be compensated for this fraudulent situation.

I am into the same situation. I also received a call in October cancelling my appointment and the lady said someone would call me to reschedule. No one called yet and no one responds the phone either. Let me know if anyone is taking a legal action.

i'm in the same boat except i paid about 11,000 for a whole body laser hair removal treatment i had about 2 years left on my contract. how do i join and contact the attorney general?

I WAS A PATIENT FOR LITE TOUCH. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL FROM LITE TOUCH OR LASER COSMETICA.I AM A SINGLE MOTHER AND I HAD A 3 YEARS GUARANTEE PERIOD.MY LASER TREATMENT WAS ABOUT 1000 PLEASE IF ANYONE KNOW OF SOMETHING I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW.

i knew about the companies merging, and i guess like every body else i was told that the new company was gonna take over i had 6 months of treatment left, i was pregnant and couldnt continue my treatments, they said do not worry about it, if we do merge they will take care of you, they never said the name of the new company. my son is now 6 months old so i decided i could go back and continue with my treatments, well i have been calling the numbers i have but they are all disconected. what am i suppossed to do, i dont really feel like giving my money away like that i am out of work taking care of my baby, and i already pay for it! if anybody has any answers please get back to me! thank you!!!
