Last year the air conditioning stopped working in my Lincoln Town Car. I took it to the dealer for repair and boy did they repair it. After two trips to the dealership, it cost me over $1700 (each trip was an added expense, there was another part that it needed). This year, after only about two months of use (from last year - none this year). And it was not used in the winter - the air is not working again. Now they tell me that will cost me more than $1300 for the additional repair. I don't know about your math, but mine tells me that is over $3,000 for the same issue - NO AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!!. Is this the price of owning a Lincoln - a couple of grand a year (for AC alone, in addition to any and all of the other repairs and maintenance.
I know it is a Lincoln, but PLEASE spare me the grief. Of course, they did not tell me the cost of the part, but I can and will assure you that the majority of this cost is LABOR. Well, they were just in there last year, couldn't they have repaired it then or at least informed me of the additional cost. This would mean repeat labor for the SAME ISSUE.
As if this is not enough - I also went to the same location for brake work. It took them three tries to finally get that right. Any place one takes their vehicle for repairs, they expect it to be repaired. Soooooo, you go to the dealer, and you have to go back and go back and go back. For what, same repair plus added on costs. There has got to be a better way and/or regulations on this. And if not, what ever happened to good ole customer service - Keep the customer happy and not drain the customer dry.
I have paid and paid and still have no air. Why do I need to spend another $1300 for this repair. Why should any more cash to paid for the same repair?
Truly,
Busted, Disgusted and HOT :-(
