I am not surprised Levitz is going out of business. I purchased 2 flexible end tables and a coffee table that were poorly constructed. I called customer service within the guarantee period for the coffee table to be fixed or replaced and was told that it was my fault that the table broke. When I threatened calling channel 5 for their failure to honor the guarantee they said as a courtesy they will send someone to look at the piece. After they inspected I had to call back to find when the repair or replacement would be made.
They said the call was only a "courtesy" and could not honor the guarantee. I wonder at what name are they going to open a new store after the bankruptcy?
