My 1996 Toyota Camry LE was towed into the dealership for service and repairs. The service manager informed us that the repairs would cost up to $8,000.00. I asked which repairs could be made so that we could at least drive the car until we could pay for the other repairs. He said "none". HE stated that all the repairs were needed.
He then stated that the car was not worth the money and said that he had someone who wanted to buy the car. He said the person would offer us $300.00 and also pay for the service to look at the car. I told him to tell the person to take his wife to dinner!
The car was towed to another shop. The repairs done to the car was only $392.80. We told them about other problems that were said to be wrong with the car. The repairman told us that he could not find anything else wrong with the car.
We need some help. Complaint has been made to the BBB, Toyota Corporate Office and Legacy Toyota. At this time we are waiting for a response for $8,000.00 for the (lie) and $2,000.00 for stress and aggravation.
