This is about Menards and their complete lack of morals and ethics. We recently won an award to supply Ft McCoy with their building materials for a training exercise going on next week. So we decided to do the honorable thing and keep the revenue in Wis. since that’s where the job was to be performed. Menards came in with low bid so we gave it to them. Then when we went to place the order three days before delivery they told us then it was cash and carry. This action would not be acceptable even if we had a budget like the D. O.D. But we don’t, we’re a small business and not many small businesses have this kind of money to put out. Had they told us that two weeks ago when they bid the job we could have made arrangements or gave it to someone who has some compassion and the sense to know that a signed contract from the DOD is as good as cash. This shows a complete lack of respect for our military and our Co., which we will no longer have thereby costing the future jobs we were trying to bring to Wis. approx. 200 all totaled. I’ve written the Governor’s office about this matter but we’ll see where that goes. However if Menards or anyone else tries to destroy that which I have risk my life to build then someone needs to send in the white coats to get them because they’re nuts. We will not let this happen because if it happened to us who will be next! They obviously don’t care. I’m 55 and 100% disabled so this is possibly our last chance! Can you help please if not for us then for our troops!
