Just before Thanksgiving my truck began acting funny. It was continually shutting off when I turned it on. After the last episode, I had it towed to J & R Tires for service. I was informed that the mechanic was, quote "80% sure" the problem was my fuel pump and I asked that if her discovered it was not the fuel pump to inform me of such so I could take my truck elsewhere to be fixed. The mechanic replaced the fuel pump, leading me to believe it was the source of the problem. I picked my truck up on November 29, 2011. I was charged $654 for the service. My truck is still having the same shut off issue and I've found that the fuel pump is not and was not connected to the issue. When I spoke to the mechanic today he laughed, told me it wasn't his problem, and he doesn't do electrical work. He has lead me to believe, through his statements today that he had the knowledge that there were electrical not fuel pump issues, but decided to replace something that wasn't broken and charge me for it. Roger and Juan were the two men I spoke with and who should have the most knowledge on this repair.
