I have home owner's insurance for a house in Portland Oregon for over seven years. There was a burglary in the house and Traveler's Insurance is claiming that my daughter who lives in the house is not a resident relative and that her and her husband's stolen items are not covered. The consumer advocate for insurance for the State of Oregon has said after an investigation that Traveler's position is completely wrong and that I need to hire an attorney to get this rectified.
To make matters worse, the insurance company is further stating that the agent sold me the wrong insurance for the past 7 or 8 years but now they will not even change that! So, they not only collected too much money for each and every year, they are not paying the claim AND they are forcing me to pay the higher premium.
THIS IS TOTALLY OUTRAGEOUS!
